Regulations of the International Chess Festival “President’s Cup”

1. Festival is starting from 04-th to the 13-th of May 2006 in Baku.

2. Festival consists of 6 tournaments (the schedule of the rounds is attached)

3. In the “A” and “B” tournaments each player is given 90 minutes with the addition of 30 seconds for each move from the start.
In the “C” and “E” tournaments each player is given 120 minutes for the completion of the game. In the “D” tournament each player is given 90 minutes for the completion of the game

4.The places of the winners depend on the taken points.
Places among players who gained the same points will be shared as follows:

In round robin tournaments :

a) Berger System
b) Direct Encounter
c) Number of Won Games

In Swiss tournaments:

a) Sum of Progressive Scores
b) Sum of Progressive Score Cuts
c) Direct Encounter
d) Number of Won Games

5. If two or more players share the prized places, the price fund will be summed and shared between the players equally.

6. For the appellation the player must leave the deposit of $ 30. If the player is right, the sum will be given back.
